#holidayhopestories – Gina’s Story
I am a Holistic Business Coach here to connect, inspire, motivate and educate entrepreneurs on how to launch, grow and market their business the right way. I’m based in Glastonbury, CT.
I’m also a Wife, & Mom of 2 great teenagers. I’m acting Director of a Community Closet that serves the homeless and people who have fallen on hard times.
How did you get started?
I’m a former Chef and was searching for a new career path when I turned 40. I decided to do what I loved and came naturally until I figured out my new path. I got a job at a Mind Body Spirit Center doing marketing and events, during that time I became certified in many Holistic Modalities “Just for Fun”. I continued my “Just for Fun” do what I love practice and started leading entrepreneurial Mastermind Groups. While leading those groups a member asked me about my Business Coaching Package and the rest is history.
What did you have to overcome to take the steps towards doing what you love?
Creating a new identity for myself, I was labelled “Chef” and no one likes change including my family and friends. Becoming a certified coach and teaching myself how to teach, motivate, and lead others.
What or who inspires you each day?
Although I’m a self-motivator I feel strongly that we are influenced by the people we surround ourselves with. It’s nearly impossible to rise to your own personal greatness if you aren’t surrounding yourself with high vibrational people who are doing the same. My inner circle are mostly high achieving go for the brass ring type of Business Owners.
What is your favourite quote or affirmation?
I have so many, I love quotes and affirmations, It’s hard to pick just one. “Life is 10 Percent What Happens To You And 90 Percent How You React To It” is one of my favourites.
Do you have a morning [or daily] routine - what is it and how does it serve you?
I start my day by filling my cup with 60 minutes of “Me” time because we can not pour from an empty cup. It always starts with hot coffee, 10 minutes of meditation, followed by reading my affirmations, and or journaling, a 20 minute walk or yoga stretches (on most days) then a bubble bath and sometimes I usually listen to a motivating YouTube video or a Business Book on Audible Books while I’m doing my hair and makeup. Now I’m ready to check email, social media and rock my day.
Share one or two of your best moments from the past year!
Seeing my mentor Tony Robbins walk out on stage after following him for 30 years. Having him 30 feet in front of me turned on the waterworks. Achieving $17,000 in Sales in one month was another big moment.
What big goal(s) do you have for 2019?
Adding another team member Coach to my Business and launching a Nonprofit.
